Find Just the Right Gift at These 12 Brooklyn Holiday Markets and Pop-Ups

December is upon us and there are just a few weeks to take advantage of the many holiday markets packed with local and handmade wares for gift giving.

The list of Brooklyn holiday markets is extensive this year with outdoor and indoor festivities in full swing after some were canceled or decreased in size during the pandemic. Here are some to check out this season:

Wallabout Wonderland Holiday Market
Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4, noon to 5 pm
Brooklyn Navy Yard Building 77, 141 Flushing Avenue

There is just one weekend to catch this market, which will include more than 80 local designers and artisans offering jewelry, home decor and fashion.

Essential Bushwick Holiday Market
Saturday, December 10, noon to 6 pm
1329 Willoughby Avenue

The market by Essential Music and Art Show kicked off in November, but there is still one more Saturday to shop the wares available from artists and makers from New York and New Jersey.

Old Stone House Brooklyn Pop-Up
Saturday, December 10, 10 am to 4 pm
336 3rd Street, Park Slope

More than 40 local businesses, artists and crafters will be showcasing their wares outdoors around the park surrounding the historic house. There will also be activities like ornament making along with mulled wine and cider to sip while listening to music. In case of severe weather, the market will take place the following day.

Greenpointers Holiday Market
Sunday, December 11, 1 to 7 pm
Greenpoint Loft, 67 West Street

After a pandemic hiatus, the annual market is back with free activities, food, live music and more than 60 vendors with a focus on artisans, makers and small businesses.

Jummy’s Picks by Black-Owned Brooklyn Holiday Pop-Up
December 10 and 11, 17 and 18, 11 am – 6 pm
Atlantic Center, 625 Atlantic Avenue

Black-Owned Brooklyn is hosting an indoor pop-up for two weekends with more than 40 local Black-owned businesses participating. There will also be food, live music, lounge areas and appearances by “Papa and Mama Soul Santa.”

Brooklyn Museum Holiday Market
Saturday, December 17, noon to 8 pm and Sunday, December 18, 11 am to 5:30 pm
Brooklyn Museum

In the lobby of the museum, this free indoor market offers up one-of-a-kind handmade items including artwork, jewelry and fashion and there will be live music to enjoy while shopping. The museum is also holding its third annual toy drive; you can drop off unwrapped toys in bins near the admission desk through December 17. Toys will be distributed on Saturday, December 17 until 3 pm

Borough Hall Holiday Market
Daily until December 26, 11 am to 8 pm
Brooklyn Borough Hall, 209 Joralemon Street

A new outdoor market from Urbanspace has popped up outside Borough Hall with over 50 local vendors offering original work along with vintage wares and food and drink.

Bed Stuy Winter Wonderland
Thursdays to Saturdays until December 23, 4 to 8 pm on Thursdays and Fridays, 2 to 8 pm on Saturdays
Marcy Plaza, Bed Stuy

The outdoor market showcases small business owners and artisans with a festive atmosphere and special programming. There is a dedicated “Santa’s Hollow” for photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, open air dining and a trolley providing transportation for shopping. Special events include free bike giveaways, caroling and live entertainment. The full list of local vendors and the calendar of events is available online.

FAD Market Holiday Pop-up: Dumbo
Daily through December 23, noon to 6 pm Mondays through Fridays, 11 am to 6 pm Saturdays and Sundays
Empire Stores

FAD Market Holiday Pop-up: Boerum Hill
Saturdays and Sundays through December 18, 11 am to 6 pm
The Invisible Dog Art Center, 51 Bergen Street

FAD Market has two pop-ups this year, both offering the fashion, art and design for which they are known. Both markets will have a rotating list of regional designers and artisans on hand.

The Makers Show at City Point
Fridays through Sundays through December 18, 11 am to 7 pm
445 Albee Square, City Point

The annual indoor market features the work of local artisans and the list this year includes almost 100 makers, double the amount of last year. There are also free workshops and family dance parties, and Santa will make an appearance on Saturdays.

Dumbo X Brooklyn Flea Holiday Market
Saturdays and Sundays through December 24, 10 am to 5 pm
Dumbo Archway

For any last minute gift-giving, the Brooklyn Flea will have 50 vendors with vintage and handmade wares available until Christmas Eve.
